This page is dedicated to my attempt to build a free wireless access point using Orinoco wireless cards and Linux (i.e. without an expensive hardware AP). Already in limited operation, I can use my laptop around the house to access my computer network.

As you can tell from the photo, the project isn't quite finished yet!. Computer needs to be put into a steel box for living in the roof and the antenna constructed. Stay tuned. You could email me if you like if you have any questions.

I'm located in Duncraig on quite a good hill, so if you're in the area, there's a good chance you'll be able to use 802.11 wireless ethernet to connect to my network, but I suppose we'll know for sure once the access point/router is fully operational...
